Abstract :
[en] Robots used for automation in industries should be able to react to any uncomfortable situations in their vicinity in order to avoid harming humans, working product, other machinery and itself. The manipulator robots might not only be able to predict potential collisions but should also be able to take intelligent decisions for automatically avoiding them with a safe detour around the obstacles. This paper introduces a 3D-Time- of-Flight sensor based SARPP algorithm which automatically plans path for the robot in a human robot collaborative semi- automated assembly environment. The application of algorithm can be foreseen in more complex Human-Robot-Collaborative industrial environment where the safety of human as well as robots are the highest priority.
